As darkness descends
As darkness descends
As darkness descends and envelops my space,
My bodily frame searches for loving embrace,
In the chill of the night warmth is not found,
For until love return it is here I am bound.
The memories of loves strong arms in rapture,
Impregnate my mind as an image lenses capture,
Filling the hours from dawns early light,
Waiting, replaying, till loves back in sight.
Time stands still when two halves are apart,
Coming together to form the one heart,
Beating again when love is returned,
Craving the feeling of which it has yearned.
The sun shines so brightly when love enters in,
It is the moment treasured that life begins,
Sharing and caring is what we all need,
And you bring it to me is what I believe.
